Here is the tip on how to access your hosts file: sayed short, the path to the hosts file in Vista/Windows 7 is: C:\Windows\Sysnative\Drivers\Etc\hosts. (or better  said: %systemroot%\sysnative\drivers\etc\hosts.). If you do not have the Sysnative folder, create it and respect the capital letter in the beggining: “Sysnative”.
I searched for it in System32, then in SysWOW64, tought the hosts file does not exist anymore in Windows 7, but is a folder redirect trick. More details about accesing hosts file are to be found here.
